Ales and Drinks

We have been in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for several years and stock both local and national brands.  Marstons beers and those of Purple Moose from Porthmadog are usually featured on at least one of our three handpulls, along with a selection of ales from other breweries and in particular Cwrw Caradog.  Cwrw Ogwen is a Bethesda micro brewery which opened in May 2017 and one of the beers is named after colourful local poet/novelist Caradog Prichard (1904-1980).  House wines are from the new world and can include merlot, cabernet, (unoaked) chardonnay and/or sauvignon blanc.  Price of place goes to our extensive selection of single malt whiskies, most of them naturally from Scotland but including the fine Welsh Penderyn and Bushmills.

We are no longer a hotel and do not offer any accommodation.  There is one guest house in Bethesda and several others in the surrounding area.

We do not accept credit/debit cards but there are cashpoints 2 minutes’ walk away, in the village.
